Ultradrive

It started with the dick job
and moved on to the ultradrive
i hear the supersonic
i've got the ultradrive

with your weary fingers
and bones that bind
i can't imagine really
what life was like

i'll tell you about a little scene implanted in my mind
of curious creatures
picking through days of old
in an unending stream of suprise

get out here with the chosen eyes
xray notions are the ones that guide
my brothers and sisters and some in between styles

i'll tell you bout a childhood memory
that i think is mine
of carbon cars and plastic foam
ridiculous green, marbled stone
and space at a ridiculous pace
has been consumed
for the partly wealthy
imagine five rooms

circuits are go blood's running low
transfusions an afterthought
the shine in my eyes translate to a smile
efficiency's what we've got

Drowned

suzy came in from the East
fit right in to the big feast
she put her baggage down, where the rivers run aground
sayin' that it's only for a week

place a call to Carla
vomiting it up in the Bahamas
his teeth were fine, but his breath too much like wine
the prickles in her spine pointing East

right now, when the ruddy sky turns brown
and the fishes make that sound on the bottom
right now, when the ruddy sky turns brown
you only hear that sound from the bottom

all the trees turn to prairie
the sky looks so big that it could eat
if you don't feel quite right, then the altitude just might
rid you of all your tainted dreams

right now, when the ruddy sky turns brown
and the fishes make that sound on the bottom
right now, when the ruddy sky turns brown
you only hear that sound from the bottom
right now, when the ruddy sky turns brown
and the fishes make their sound on the bottom

Measure of a Man

Party favors are the aftermints
For a very long meal
Choosing neighbors in the tenements
For the right kind of feel

He is the last one to go
When he gets home, I don’t know

Down several landings there’s a man who says
He’s got it all
Velvet Elvis and a picture of the family
On the wall

He is the last one to complain
When he gets home, he’s ok

Johnny Tan is the pizza man
Delivers sweaty kisses too
Ex-wives of the neighborhood
Tell me the measure of a man

He was the last one to go
How he gets on, I don’t know
